War, huh, What Is It Good For?

I don't want this blog to become a chronicle of the war, but I feel like I need to let people know I'm o.k. whenever the fighting leaves the north. So, I'm o.k. I wasn't in Anuradhapura on Monday and even if I had been, the attack was on the Air Force Base, so I definitely wouldn't have been there.

This attack prompted a return attack from the government. It is, frankly, becoming a bit ridiculous. And then we receive word that, according to counter terrorism experts, there is no military solution to this conflict (um, duh, it has only been going on for more than 20 years with no answers).

The point of telling you this is not to freak you out. It is to confirm that I am fine and will continue to be so.
